Is the firms IT architecture and organization of IT resources evolving appropriately? Architecture defines the pattern and
distribution of computer hardware, networks, software development resources, application packages and data bases.
Other important issues include: staff/skill availability, level of computing/telecommunications sophistication, specific vendor and
package support, make versus buy and systems integration, and appropriate control of daily IT operations. Very different answers to these questions will emerge in different organizational settings.
